Our decaffeinated Colombian coffee is bold and flavorful at a medium roast. You may be missing caffeine in this offering, but certainly not body or flavor. The overall cup is smooth with balanced acidity and flavor notes of creamy dark chocolate and walnut.
Short on caffeine but long on flavor, Sugarcane* decaffeinated coffees (also known as EA Decaf or Natural Decaf) have a subtle sweet aroma thanks to the decaffeination process.Â
Fully caffeinated green coffee is steamed to remove the silver skin (the natural coating on coffee beans) and open the pores of the bean before it’s bathed in a fermented sugarcane compound called ethyl acetate that binds to and removes caffeine until the beans reach 97% decaffeination. After which, they’re dried and shipped to us to be roasted to perfection. The ethyl acetate produced in the sugarcane process can also be found in pastries, fruit, and wine.
What's a Frac Pack?
Frac packed coffee is pre-ground and packed into individual and disposable packaging. Each coffee portion pack is precisely measured out into 1.75 oz. servings, providing the perfect amount of grounds to brew a rich, balanced and aromatic pot of coffee.
Frac packs are not only convenient, they're a cost-effective coffee solution for at home, the office, church socials, hotels, bed & breakfasts, restaurants and more. A standard coffee pot is all you need to use these freshly roasted coffee portion packs. We even include standard basket filters in every box!
Frac Pack boxes are recyclable and the used coffee grounds and filters can be composted, creating a smaller ecological footprint than alternative convenient coffee solutions.Â
